Do you do school visits?

Currently we are available for local visits only in the SoCal area. Please contact us if this is something you’re interested in.

I’d love to get your books in another language. What languages are available?

Our agent is always pushing the books overseas in different countries and markets. If you’re a publisher interested in translating, please contact our agent Kathleen.

How did you two meet?

We met at art school sophomore year through mutual friends and have been inseparable since! We started collaborating together in 2015 on pitches, book ideas, and writing.

Where did you attend college? What degrees do you have?

We both attended Ringling College of Art and Design and have BFAs in Illustration (and a Minor in Visual Development for Shane). We graduated the same year in 2009 and entered the animation industry shortly thereafter.

Where do you live? Do you have any pets?

We live in sunny Los Angeles with our favoritest boy, Oliver, a morkie/poodle mix.

What does your collaboration process look like?

We typically start with the basic idea one of us pitches to the other and explore from there! We joke it’s like passing a ball back and forth between us. While one of us might start with the concept, we toss it to the other and do a pass, then toss it back and discuss what we think. When we’re drawing and painting, it’s also similar: one of us might do a thumbnail, hand it off to the other for a cleaner pass, and back and forth till final art is done and delivered!
